It's not the best but I promised many ppl I would make one of these so why not. This is just a basic on how to blend textures on to human skin so other parts of the process were over looked on purpose. Well, if anyone has questions you know where to find me.

Oh and the program used is Adobe Photoshop elements 9

Well I was doing some reading and it turns out things work slightly differently in CS6. I was using a dark fur though so I am going to try and find a lighter fur to work with and try another method entirely. I'm sorry it didn't work for me but I thank you for posting the tutorial anyway.

Thanks! Your method is great until I get to changing the steps I mentioned. It works for you but not for me. I'm happy to say I did a quick test while playing with opacity and it worked alright. My textures were awful though so I'm giving it another try. Thanks again! :)

Well, I didn't notice that there's a tut here. Good job!

Too bad I know next to nothing about PS. :stupidme: What exactly is the name of the tool(s) which you use to copy & paste in step 3? And does changing the head involve same technique, only with facial shot of the animal as the source texture? Or is there something more?

In the menu bar Select >all, Edit>copy, Edit>paste. It can work with faces depends on what type of anthro you are making, this works well for humanoid faces. If you want a more animalistic face use the animal face you want to use & simply paste it over the human face. You can then copy the human eyes over the animal face and use the liquify tool to humanized it a bit more. Also depending on the fur you use this filter pattern will not always work, you have to play around with the filters to get it just right. It's hard for me to explain in words my process but I hope that kinda clears up somethings for you.

Cool. But I'll be bit more inquisitive, if you don't mind. ;)

I thought that a "clone brush" or something similar was used, copying from many photos as needed. But it looks like you're pasting sort of already pre-arranged 'collage' of animal photos? How was that obtained? Careful cloning from source photos, or just slap whole parts in and smooth the borders between them?

As for the faces, I'd be most interested in "mild" canine-looking ones. Is it necessary to make a long search for a stock photo that would most ideally fit the model's face (esp. the direction of her head, or the direction she's looking in)? Or a rough similarity is enough and can be adjusted in PS?
